ytcFilter: Capture and Filter Youtube Chat Messages
ytcFilter is a Chrome add-on developed by Kento Nishi. It is a free program that allows users to capture and filter messages from the Youtube chat.
With ytcFilter, you can easily manage the overwhelming speed of the Youtube chat by applying filter rules. The add-on comes with preset filters, including English tagged messages, messages with Japanese characters, messages with alphanumeric characters, and messages from staff.
For more customization, ytcFilter supports various filters such as nickname, message text, moderator, channel owner, membership, verified user, super chat, and regular expression. These filters allow users to tailor the chat messages they see according to their preferences.
The add-on works not only with the standard Youtube chat but also with embedded chat on third-party websites and Youtube popout chat. Filtered messages can be displayed either above Youtube's chat or in a popout window. Additionally, ytcFilter integrates Youtube's block/report button to help combat spam.
All messages captured by ytcFilter are archived, allowing users to revisit them later if needed.
